Meet Your Instructor – Tommy Sapp Former SWAT Commander | Church Safety Trainer | Man of Faith My name is Tommy Sapp, and for over 15 years I’ve trained law enforcement officers, SWAT teams, and church safety teams across the country. I started as a young deputy in Florida and worked my way up to leading a SWAT team—but it wasn’t always easy. I’ve faced intense situations, high-risk calls, and the weight of leading others when lives are on the line. What changed everything for me was combining tactical training with spiritual purpose. I realized my calling wasn’t just to protect the public—it was to equip the church to protect its own. That’s when I launched Protect His House, a nationwide training program for churches serious about safety. I know what it’s like to feel unprepared, undertrained, or unsure of what’s legal or right when it comes to carrying in church. That’s why I created this course. My biggest goal is to build confident, capable protectors who walk in both skill and wisdom. You don’t have to be a cop to protect your church—you just need to train with purpose.
